The introduction of polychrome decoration in the 18th century by Pierre Clément Caussy and the arrival of Alfred Beau in 1872, who introduced paintings on earthenware imitating easel painting. and created the naive images of the little Breton glazik and the Breton woman in a headdress. In 1906, Henriot bought Porquier, leaving two earthenware factories in Quimper, which competed mercilessly until their merger in 1968. Sales began to decline in the 1970s, but the company managed to diversify into offering ceramic jewellery, corporate gifts and limited edition art objects. Today, the company employs 51 people and continues to innovate by renewing its decorations and collections.
